Dimitri is a fee-only advisor which means the customized financial life plan he crafts for each client is focused on growing assets, not lining his own pockets with commissions charges.
Before joining Financial Life Planners, Dimitri spent two decades in the financial services and banking industry and holds the AAMS® (Accredited Asset Management Specialist) designation. As a Manager-Portfolio Consultant for Charles Schwab Private Client Investment Advisory, Dimitri managed a practice of over $270 million in client assets. He also held leadership roles within various investment panels at Schwab. Dimitri served as a liaison to educate clients about practical application of quantitative equity methodologies and investment strategies.
Dimitri has expertise in global investing, monetary policy and macro-economic and political analysis. He is a graduate of Arizona State University, majoring in Political Science and minoring in International Business. He also studied abroad, focusing on Political Economic Transformation at Charles University in Prague. Dimitri is fluent in the Czech Language.
Dimitri has volunteered as a teacher for Junior Achievement, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating young people on the skills they need to experience the realities and opportunities of work and entrepreneurship. Dimitri lives in Scottsdale with his wife and two children. He collects antiques from the Belle Epoque era and loves to travel to Europe to visit friends and family.
